There Is A Way To Learn Internet Marketing, And There Is A Sure Way To Fail

The internet has brought about so many fascinating innovations it’s hard to keep track of what’s what. Over the years the internet has evolved into a worthy adversary to the offline job market. People have been flocking to the web to figure out how to make money since the beginning, but the last 10 years have really shown people that the internet is a much more interesting and liberating place to work.

At first the internet held many opportunities but you really had to be good at figuring things out to make it. In today’s internet entire infrastructures have been built for one reason but evolved into becoming a platform for many others that slowly made making money online easier even for the complete newbie.  Over the past 5-10 years, those platforms have been linked together to create a powerful infrastructure that, if tapped into systematically, could give anyone at any education level beyond high school the ability to generate an income online.

Internet marketing is a term coined to cover a vast majority of the ways people generate an income online. It was coined due to the many structures implemented and networked over the years. With so much structure now in place based on an evolution of the platform, one only needs to learn how the many concepts work, put in the required work, and reap the benefits.

This isn’t to say that this is all play and no work- in fact there is a tremendous amount of work involved like any offline job, but the difference is your work is not in vane! You have to build the skill set like anything else, but once you do figure it out and make a root goal to always try to learn more, always sharpening your skills, and always realizing that there are no real shortcuts to get you from point A to point Z you will find the rewards much more lucrative than 99% of the offline jobs out there.

For one, you’re your own boss and accountable to yourself. Nobody is going to yell at you to get your work done- the yelling comes in the form of a drop in success which translates to a drop in income.  Discipline is a necessary skill set you must have to succeed in any business- especially the internet. If you put in the work and always try to stay ahead of the curve, but not to the point of cheating with shortcuts, you will eventually find success. Another great thing about the internet business models is your not slave to an opinionated boss who takes your ideas and becomes rich on your effort- if anyone becomes a success from your efforts, it’s you!

Getting started, however, is the most difficult part for many. There are so many courses out there promising the world but giving the newbie nothing but overzealous ambition to persevere through things they don’t understand only to put them through the motions with nothing to show for their strenuous efforts. Many courses are actually designed not for the new internet marketer in training but rather for the course seller- to make money running you in circles. Also a course can’t do the trick if you can’t quantify what it says. Often this is a recipe for being scammed. If the language in the course is alien, how are you expected to succeed? You need a platform that not only shows you what you need to know, and gives you seeds to further research on your own, but it needs some kind of practice course. A real time course you can learn from applying what you read- not just an ambiguous plea for you to go out there and figure something out, or a way to apply the knowledge but a smart platform that helps you gain experience at the same time as doing. This is why college courses have labs. If you just read you lose most of what you learn. If you read, then apply, read again, update your first attempt and all along evolve into the skill set- you are far more likely to succeed.

Most courses out there don’t have any of this, and more often than not they don’t have even a complete set of data you need to learn the skill set!

It’s no wonder most people who do get into internet marketing often fail or quit within the first 6 months to a year. The sad part is that without enough awareness developed about the “game” you can’t really tell the fact from fiction until it’s too late. So what is a newbie to do?

The first thing to consider is looking for signs of deceit. If a course promises you riches with very little work, or claims they have the sacred shortcuts that will pioneer you into success with no effort and no need for experience – that’s a red flag. Nobody ever became successful in the internet marketing business without putting in a lot of time learning the rules, the way things work on the internet platform, and developing a keen sense of right and wrong, what to do, and what to avoid.

Manye course marketers often use words newbie’s don’t understand but that seem legitimate. That’s another red flag. Think about it, what kind of teacher doesn’t wean the student into the terminology with words that make sense offline first?  The other thing to consider is, what would actually make the internet, just another platform, but that follows the same rules of business, void of the laws of marketing physics? The answer is nothing.

The internet, all be it is a powerful medium that gives the new businessman leverage when compared to the offline world, is really no different from the offline world in the core concepts that makes anyone successful. You have to learn the playing field, develop a sense of terminology, strategies, and get a feel for how others are playing the game. You then have to take that information and create a game plan for your business. The only difference is you’re not so much judged by your credentials as you are by your results. Results in any medium takes time and experience. Shortcuts are afforded only for the successful in ANY realm- so avoid them if you don’t know how to do things without the shortcut.

Think of shortcuts as a sort of shorthand for the main event. Once you develop experience, you don’t have to go through all the motions as say a beginner. Why? Because you have been through it, you know how things react and how things happen. You can use shortcuts ONLY because if something goes wrong you know how to backtrack and if need be, you can start over and change your strategy. If you don’t know the full concept and you use a shortcut, you will fail because as soon as any problem develops you’re completely lost!

That said, you can take certain time saving, work saving, actions to develop your skill set without having to start from scratch, rather without going into the ocean without a decent boat with a working sail. There are some sites out there that are build by honest businessmen who’ve made it, figured everything out, and want to teach you, but they are not there to give you the keys to the Porsche only to see you crash it.

Sites like Super Apprentice 2.0, for example, have an infrastructure that demands that you put in the work, but that includes not only tools you can use to both implement the strategies you need to implement to develop your online real-estate, and that give you course materials to help you develop your skill set but that teach you in the same way you’d learn at any school. The result is you actually learn, apply, and grow. They don’t tell you your going to be rich the first year, they tell you the tools are there, the information is there, and if you put in the work and develop your skills through the sandbox they supply you with- you ‘can’ become successful.

Super Apprentice is like a college for online marketers. It’s both a system used by seasoned professionals (which shows you its worth it’s weight in gold) and a brilliant place for newbie’s to get their feet wet. The site includes training documents, somewhere in the 10k word range of pure data written in plain English- no fancy words or BS to distract you from your mission. It also includes templated step by step site builders that put what you learn in the course materials to work in the real world. By building sites in this way you learn not only how to build a site, but you see how it’s done step by step.

Each field you fill in is something you have to take the time to figure out and develop as you go (but guidance is always there if you  need it). Will you build the most amazing money making site ever on your first go? Likely not, but that’s where the real lessons come in. In building it you learn. In failing you learn. They also have a support system in the form of both a forum where you and other members can chat and learn, and a ticket system where you can ask questions and get prompt answers.

The forum is based on other members like you at varying levels of expertise. They have no agenda- your not sending them money or anything, they simply want to see a newbie succeed. This is pretty unique and powerful in this business. Many people are visual learners. Reading a lot of great information is great, but then you find yourself wanting to get started and lost. With the way Super Apprentice 2.0 is set up you watch one video on how to get going and just apply the work. The rest comes as you go. You develop questions, you ask other members in the forum and they are more than happy to help. The reading materials get you primed to comprehend the realm, and then the platform helps you by walking you through the motions of building your first site. From there you just utilize the builder to crystallize your new awareness in a very friendly way. If you get stuck there is someone there to help you.

This is a far cry from jumping into the ocean not knowing how to protect yourself from the sharks or even knowing that there are sharks in there! It’s a safe environment and a great way to develop your skills. Weather or not you make money right away shouldn’t be your goal anyway. There is plenty of time for that when your internet marketing sword is sharpened. The beauty of this business is once you learn, it gets easier. Sure you still have challenges and you will constantly need to keep learning to stay ahead of the curve, but all businesses are like that right? SA tends to also keep you ahead by showing you how outside forces that can affect your income work and what to do to counter it. You’re in an environment that feels like on the job training. This is an actual job after all isn’t it?

How would you like to learn internet marketing? Shark infested waters and empty promises, confusion with no recourse but to trust courses,  or in an environment like Super Apprentice? Make your move.
